About

Why Emotions are Important

Many people struggle to share their internal world out of fear of painful memories or worry that they may hurt those closest with them. Emotions can cause harm to those close to you and they can induce shame in yourself. This can effect relationships, career, daily living, and one's overall wellbeing. The good news is that many people who seek treatment for emotional issues make improvements that allow them to return to a healthy, stable, and productive lives.

How I work

I use a combination of narrative based therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help navigate the complexities of emotions. Narrative-based therapy focuses on the understanding of your life stories and how they have led to the person you are today. IFS provides perspective on the many different emotional parts of you and how they function in your life. By understanding you better, you will gain the confidence and the compassion of a well emotionally regulated person.

What to expect

Emotions can feel overwhelming at best and scary at the worst. I work with clients both by being present with you in the fear and pain that may arise and validate your experiences. This gives you the ability to speak openly without fear of being judged or invalidated. I'm easy to talk to and inviting to all people and their unique stories.

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions.

Cost

$160 per 50 minute Session. I do not accept insurance at the current moment. However, I'm happy to provide a superbill for submitting to individual insurance plans for reimbursement.
